Anji Bai Cha · 2026 Premium Grade | One-Bud-One-Leaf, Hui Orchid Fragrance
Same mountain. One step further.
This is the premium grade Anji Bai Cha, harvested at the one-bud-one-leaf stage, when the first true leaf has just unfurled alongside the bud. More surface area. More complexity. A fuller, rounder cup than bud-only grades, while keeping everything that makes Anji Bai Cha singular: the pale jade leaves, the extraordinary amino acid content, the freshness that no other green tea quite replicates.
The fragrance note here is Hui orchid, 惠兰香. Not added. Not blended. It rises naturally from the leaf itself, a quiet floral sweetness that threads through every sip without announcing itself.
What you'll find in the cup:
The liquor pours a tender, luminous green, bright and alive in the glass. On the palate: fresh and clean upfront, moving quickly into a sweetness that is mellow and deep rather than sharp. High umami. Smooth body. A finish that lingers with that faint orchid note long after the cup is empty.
This is a tea with genuine nutritional depth. The albino white-leaf cultivar of Anji produces amino acid levels significantly higher than standard green teas, which accounts for the characteristic umami richness and the way this tea nourishes as much as it pleases.
