That's the standard Tieguanyin drinkers use to judge a good one. This passes it easily -- the orchid fragrance holds across steep after steep, each one a little quieter than the last but never quite gone.
The box is gold and ink-wash floral, individual sealed portions inside. The kind of gift that works whether the person receiving it knows tea or is just beginning to.
What's in the cup
Fresh green Tieguanyin from Anxi, Fujian -- the original home of this tea. Minimally oxidized, hand-rolled into tight pellets that unfurl slowly in the water. The fragrance is orchid, full and natural. The liquor is pale yellow-green, clear enough to see through. What arrives in the mouth is clean and sweet with a refreshing finish that builds rather than fades.
No bitterness. No weight. Just the thing Tieguanyin has always been good at.

How to brew
Water temperature: 185--195°F (85--90°C)
Vessel: gaiwan or glass, 5--6g per 150ml
First steep: 30--45 seconds. Add 10--15 seconds each round.
Seven steeps minimum. The fourth and fifth are often the sweetest.

Every order is sourced fresh from its origin region after you buy, then packed and shipped by air. Please allow about 2 weeks for delivery anywhere in the US. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your tea is on its way.
Return policy
Returns & Freshness
For food safety, opened tea cannot be returned. Unopened items may be returned within 14 days of delivery (return shipping paid by the customer). If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email us a photo within 7 days and we'll send a replacement or a full refund, no return needed.
