Gold-Veined & Rare · Fujian Small-Leaf Golden Thread Orchid, 50g
The leaves look like they were threaded by hand.
Fine gold veining runs across every surface -- the reason this herb has been called Golden Thread Orchid (金线莲) for centuries. The Fujian small-leaf variety is considered the most potent of its kind, slower growing and rarer than the large-leaf alternatives, each leaf dense with the compounds that make it worth seeking out.
Steeped slowly over low heat, the liquor comes out pale gold and clean. Quiet fragrance. Gentle on the throat from the first cup.
What it's for
Golden Thread Orchid has a long history of use in Fujian traditional practice, valued particularly for liver support and clearing heat -- the kind of internal heat that builds up from late nights, stress, and irregular hours.
If you're running hot, sleeping badly, or your throat feels rough by the end of the day, this is the brew people in Fujian reach for.

— My eyes feel dry and tired -- a classic signal of liver heat in traditional practice

— Sip: smooth, gently sweet, no bitterness

How to brew
Simmer method (recommended): 3--5g per 500ml, low heat, 15--20 minutes. The liquor deepens and the active compounds extract more fully this way.
Quick steep: 3g per 300ml, 205°F (96°C), 5--8 minutes.
Can be rebrewed 2--3 times. The simmer method holds up best across rounds.
