Guangxi Liu Bao Dark Tea Gift Box | Aged Heritage Tea in Ceramic Jars, 500g
Guangxi Liu Bao dark tea in two hand-finished ceramic jars, presented in a gift box. Mellow, woody, ruby red in the cup. 500g.
Slow tea from the green hills of Guangxi.
Aged until the edges soften. Sealed in two ceramic jars, set in wood, ready to give.
THE TEA
Liu Bao comes from a small village in Guangxi, deep in China's far south. Mist-covered hills. Humid air. Tea that has always been made to wait.
The leaves are piled, fermented, and left to age. Time does the rest. Sharp edges round out. Bitterness fades. What stays is depth.
A century ago, this tea traveled by river and sea to the tin mines of Malaya. Crates of it. Workers far from home drank it every day, a taste of the hills they left behind.
The craft behind it is recognized today as part of China's national intangible cultural heritage.
In the cup, the liquor pours a clear ruby red. Smooth. Round. Unhurried.
A tea for long journeys, and the quiet after them.
TASTING NOTES
Aged wood. Dried dates. Dark honey. A soft, earthy calm and a cool, clean finish.
THE GIFT
A gift box with a hinged lid, painted with the mountains, rivers, and people of Guangxi.
Inside, two brown ceramic jars traced in gold. Their shape and the sunburst on each lid echo the ancient bronze drums of southern China, a symbol of celebration in the region for more than two thousand years.
Once the tea is gone, the jars stay. On a shelf. On a desk. Holding something else worth keeping.
A matching gift bag is included.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX
500g Guangxi Liu Bao dark tea, loose leaf
Two ceramic storage jars with lids
Illustrated gift box
Matching gift bag
HOW TO BREW
Gaiwan or small teapot: 7g per 100ml. Boiling water, 100°C. Rinse twice to wake the leaves. Steep 10 to 20 seconds, adding time as you go. Good for 8 to 10 infusions.
Teapot or mug: 4g per 300ml. Boiling water. Steep 3 to 4 minutes. Re-steep two or three times.
Liu Bao keeps well and deepens with age. Store in the jars, away from light and strong smells.
PERFECT FOR
Travelers. Hosts. Anyone who likes their tea dark and their evenings slow. A gift that ends up on the shelf long after the last cup.
Good tea. Moment of quiet.
