Some teas arrive once a year. This is one of them.

Mengding Ganlu — "Sweet Dew from Mengding Mountain" — is among China's most storied green teas, cultivated on the sacred peaks of Sichuan's Mengding Mountain where tea has been grown for over two thousand years. This is the 2026 first harvest: the earliest buds of the season, picked when the mountain is still cold and the leaves are most tender.

What you'll find in the cup:

The dry leaves carry a distinctive roasted bean fragrance — warm, rounded, immediately inviting. Brewed in a glass, the liquor opens a pale gold with the faintest green shimmer, clear as mountain spring water. On the palate: bright, fresh, and instantly alive, with a lingering sweetness that rises from the throat and a clean salivation that keeps drawing you back.

This is not a tea you analyze. It's one you return to.
